Duke of Edinburgh is the longest-lived descendant of King Christian IX of Denmark

Another record: as of today, the Duke of Edinburgh is the longest-lived descendant of King Christian IX of Denmark (the ‘father-in-law of Europe’). He has broken the record of his first cousin once removed Princess Margrethe of Bourbon-Parma, born Princess of Denmark (1895-1992).
